A tragic accident on the Clark Memorial Bridge Friday evening has claimed the life of a motorcyclist, identified as 38-year-old Braden Patrick Cundiff, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers responded to the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle around 7:06 p.m. LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell confirmed that emergency personnel arrived quickly, but Cundiff was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
According to police, the crash occurred as both vehicles were traveling across the Clark Memorial Bridge. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
A passenger in the other vehicle was transported to Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening, Mitchell stated.
The crash brought traffic to a halt during a busy evening commute and sparked a wave of concern and sadness throughout the community. Braden Patrick Cundiff’s sudden passing has left family, friends, and fellow riders in mourning.
