The Andrew High School and Millikin University communities are mourning the tragic death of an alumnus and graduate, Kevin Bushnell, who passed away this weekend.
Kevin was a beloved assistant baseball coach at Big Blue, working with hitters and infielders. A proud Andrew High School graduate, Kevin was a dedicated staff member and a record breaker. Bushnell was a two-time All-American at Benedictine University. He started every game of his four-year career at either first base or designated hitter, setting a school record for games started at 172 games.

He worked tirelessly to become the best player & person. He lifted up everyone around him. Our prayers go out to the Bushnell family. Kevin Bushnell joined the Millikin staff in August 2024 working with the Big Blue hitters and infielders.

Bushnell was a two-time All-Region and earned All-Conference honors 4 times. He set a school single-season hit record at 81 in 2024. As a senior, Kevin hit .433 with 13 home runs and 62 RBI. He is Benedictine’s all-time leader in home runs, runs scored, and RBIs.
