With heavy hearts, we mourn the tragic loss of Mycheal Edwards-Wallace, 18, and Edwin Cooper, 16 — two young souls whose lives were taken far too soon in a heartbreaking act of violence on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Kings Crossing Apartment Complex in Kingstree, South Carolina.
Mycheal and Edwin were more than just victims of a senseless tragedy—they were sons, brothers, friends, and bright lights in the lives of those who knew and loved them. Their absence leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of their families, their community, and all who had the privilege of watching them grow.
As we await answers and justice, we hold close the memories of their laughter, their dreams, and the potential that was so cruelly stolen. No words can ease the pain of this loss, but we stand in unity, in grief, and in remembrance.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2025, as the investigation continues. In the meantime, we ask that you please keep the Edwards-Wallace and Cooper families in your thoughts and prayers. May they find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.
